Turkey Day

Well Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and I am so happy. Tomorrow is my last day of work for the school semester and then we are on break until early January. Ahhh...peace at last. Things have been so hectic that I have fallen behind on so much and am hurrying to dig myself out. I look forward to Wednesday as a day to just sit around, crochet, and just relax. Yay!

So here is my check in. I will likely blog again on Wednesday sometime! I am hoping to bake some pies so I will make sure to take photos for ya'll!

Game Night!

Friday night around here has now become night! Each Friday my friends and I get together and we just sit around, watch a silly movie or television show, and play some good ole' board games.

Now some of our games are classics, but others are games that I have come to love with a passion! I like to call them..."adult board games". Things like Ticket to Ride and Fury of Dracula. Games that take a lot thought and strategy, that you can talk smack while playing. The good stuff!

Yes, I am slowly digging myself out of my stress pit by hanging out with my friends and just staying positive. That is the only way right?

Do you have a game night in effect? If not, you should! Either family game night with kid-friendly games, or for those of you without kiddos, the type we have. It is WAY worth it!

Hi friends!

You are all still here? Wow. I have to say that I love you even more for that. Seriously the last time I posted was the 6th of November. My apologies!

Life has been so hectic and I know I have said that to so many different people so many times, but it is true! Between work, Etsy and life in general I haven't really had a moment to breathe. Sometimes it is because I bring it upon myself, especially when I have friends over. Then I realize that if I didn't do that, I would go insane!

The biggest thing on my mind right now is my grandfather and his health. I just want him to recover and go back to his old self...now I realize that is likely not going to happen and I need to be prepared to deal with it. My heart is hurting on the inside and I am trying to compensate on the outside.

So I am posting to let you all know that I am still here! Still crazy, still stubborn, still me. Just trying to claw my way up out of the stress hole I managed to dig myself.

Pardon me while I snuggle on down into my comfy cozy blog...ahhh....

Sorry for the long hiatus everyone. Etsians who read this likely know that as Halloween nears, sales for the holidays pick up quite a bit! I have spent the last few weeks crocheting and knitting like a mad woman. I cannot complain however, because each order helps me pay for Christmas presents! Hurray!

Life is good right now. Halloween is going to be great, and I am so excited for tomorrow because my kids and I are having an all out Halloween party! Face painting, pumpkin decorating and so much more...ahhh...I cannot wait. It is going to be a simply fabulous day for sure! Then the weekend....welllllll....that will be a little more adult with some very yummy adult beverages ;).

Blog Hiatus

Thanks everyone for supporting me during my blog hiatus :). To those of you who didn't know, my grandfather is really sick and we scurried on up there to see how he was doing. I am happy to report that since the last time I saw him he looks much better. He is up and around more, and a bit more coherent than last time. It was nice to be able to have a real conversation with him and it made me feel at peace.

So my blogging will go back to normal now. I needed a bit to rest and rejuvenate.
